Starting This Start-Up
Yet, I cannot deny that I brought more to this journey
than a sense of direction and the guts to take the first step.
The strengths, skills, knowledge and assets I brought
to my adventure, were a mixed bag of tricks –
interesting, but not determinant of success …or were they??
The List
What I had when I began my journey included:
• a love and respect for the meaningful power of quotes
• a housing & display solution (the digital photo frame newly introduced to the market)
• an eye for aesthetics and design
• on-the-job-training (observation) in composition due to previous work for a talented photographer
• an education in psychology accompanied by an active & inquisitive mind
• on-the-fly experience & street education from a short stint in a marketing consulting role
• experience & observation from a shorter stint at an Internet search engine site
• a lack of knowledge of how to start a business, but a spotted history of valuable roles for small
businesses, in addition to previous entrepreneurial considerations
• a love of humankind
• a resourceful nature
• a contagious passion
• a history of painful challenges, yet a tenacity yet to be fully exercised, stretched & tested
• experiences which required adaptation, complemented by my strive & thrive for improvement
• a few invaluable friends and acquaintances whom would soon be tried, tested & revealed
(in some cases proven, some unexpectedly; and in other cases failed, also sometimes unexpectedly)
What does one do with such an odd list of strengths and assets?
As we know now, clearly, one creates Quoteagious.
