The Rollercoaster Ride of Start-up…
You must have a stomach for it…
or at least enjoy the ride.
This has been my personal experience with start-up:
One minute you’re screaming, “Weeeeee!”,
and the next you are throwing up.
While that sounds bad enough, for those of you
who really know what I mean, the thing about
‘losing your lunch’ on roller coasters – -
while you’re projectiling your corn dog and
cotton candy forward, you are also
projecting forward …AT HIGH SPEED.
It’s kind of like spitting into the wind,
when the wind is blowing back at you…
yeah, enough said.
Therefore, when starting a start-up, in addition to your business plan and your elevator speech, it seems you should also carry a little brown paper bag with you –– the kind strategically placed on the back of the seat in front of you in air carriers as ‘response solutions’ to the aversion to stomach-turning ‘turbulence’ and coincidentally serving the same convenient purpose in response to the turbulence of entrepreneurship —
