Committed to Making a Difference

 

Our vision is not corporate-initiated signage or employee manual stuffing. Being “Committed to Making a Difference” is the inspiration behind both our products and our programs, and it is the motivation that pushes us to make them happen.

Inspiring our founding principles, ‘to encourage, empower, and enable others to believe in and achieve their own Greatness’, our commitment to Make a Difference recognizes the value each one of us holds — significance which warrants us deserving to receive support, as well as the capacity to extend it to others.

The Starfish Story, a long-time favorite of the Founder, amply reflects our vision in this ‘Power of One’ parable — the moving story of how just one determined little boy can make a difference for many, while equally communicating the significance in helping one.

The Starfish Story:

I made a difference for that one

 One day a man was walking along the beach when he noticed
a boy picking something up and gently throwing it into the ocean. 

Approaching the boy, he asked, “What are you doing?”

The youth replied, “Throwing starfish back into the ocean.
The surf is up and the tide is going out.  If I don’t throw them back, they’ll die.”

“Son,” the man said, “don’t you realize there are miles and miles of beach and hundreds of starfish?
You can’t make a difference!”

After listening politely, the boy bent down, picked up another starfish,
and threw it back into the surf. 

Then, smiling at the man, he said…

”I made a difference for that one.”
